I was wondering what kind of experiences people here have had with sending back their original laptop after receiving a replacement?

Did they try and charge you for sending it back, even though it was a replacement?

If you have given away the hat and mouse pad, do they charge you for it?

What about if you have thrown away some disk, do they expect you to return the new replacement disk with the older original when sending it back?

How long can you hold on to the machine, until they come looking for it?

    Good experience.
No. all they want is the lappy.
    No.
10 days is the expected return period. Do you want to lose your warranty and possibly be held liable for the purchase of the return???

Actually, they will charge you if you dont send it back. You will start receiving calls from support asking where the system is. If you ignore them, expect a nice letter to arrive.

    Send it back.
