    Hello i'm curious i know this question might be stupid for a bit but what is the use of IR sensor board in m17x ? is that for temperatures etc?

    That's what controls the built-in 3D on your laptop. It's the nVidia IR sensor board (formerly known as 3D LCD Emitter). PN: XX7CM .

    thank you ! , can you tell me why are black and white wire (near speakers) on m17x soldered on plastic dunno if im wrong but i saw something like that i didn't teardown-ed laptop completely just curious

    They were routed this way to avoid them being burned by the motherboard heat.

    thanx for your help and your time first i though there is an melted screw lol. Also tommorow im getting nice cooling station from cooling master for my m17x to avoid throttling due to high temperatures :)
