    Idle: 55-60c (Also seems high!)
    Max:73-75c (Running Furmark at 800/1100)

I haven't repasted yet. Any word on if it will make a noticeable difference?

Side question: Turbo doesn't seem to be utilized when I run Prime95. Is this normal?

    Nice Max temps Tapakidney.
Your right though the idle temps do seem a little high but not too shocking either.

If you do decide to do a repaste I can recommend using MX-4 or Tuniq TX- 4 thermal paste. They give great idle and max load temps.

    Cheers. :)

The bios fan controller seems to try and hold the temperature in the 70-80c range under load. My fans don't start blasting until the temperatures on both the CPU and GPU go above 72C, and they for sure are maxxed out at 80C on the GPU.

I'm anticipating that after a re-paste the difference will be modest at best, but not because the paste isn't working, but because the fans simply don't have to work as hard to maintain the same temps.

If you want to drop the temps about 10-20c (20c on the high end possibly) use HWINFO32 and blast the fans manually :)

Hmm I wasn't aware it was possible to control the fans on the R3 at all, that could be useful later.

Not that I'm worried about temperatures or anything, everyone's R3s seem to be operating to thermal spec without a hitch. Always nice to have a quieter machine though.

Just finished playing Rift for a good two hours and those are my max temps. Cooling on the R3 is just awesome.
