Ive googled this and found no answer, so far.

Basically, when i launch the game, its starts fine, plays intro video with sound. As soon as i get to the main menu, the sound goes off, completely. Ive Alt + Tab'd out of the game and launched an MP3, a movie and no sound what so ever. its not muted, infact the sound is at 100%. You can even see the Audio visual bars jumping up and down to the song/movie.

Interestingly, when I launch the game, i get that two tone bleep from windows that you get when you log into Windows, and the same two tone bleep when you close the game.

Any ideas guys? Im starting to think it maybe an Issue with Windows 8.

Tried the latest one from Dell, which is from 2011. But the same driver was fine under Windows 7. Game worked perfectly.

Then maybe it's a compatibility issue with Windows 8. Have you tried uninstalling the Audio driver completely and leaving only the Windows 8 standard driver?
