I've been looking online and all seems good but I would like to know if others think it a good laptop. Saw it on the Fry's website for 599. Going to be using it for lots of games obviously like the new tomb raider game some minecraft maybe black ops 2. And who knows what other games that come out. Would it satisfy on high or normal graphics or should I keep looking?

What are the specs (graphics card, RAM etc) of the system you are looking at? Post it up and we should be able to help you make that call.
I have the m17x r3 (see my sig) and I just finished playing Tomb Raider on a mix of high and ultra settings on my 27 inch monitor. If your specs are close, it should serve you well :)

Very cool. My M17x R3 plays Tomb Raider at about 35ish FPS on Ultra ... and 50-60 on high. I've been playing on high simply because I like playing at a higher framerate.

Must be it, the 6870M is getting fairly old now but it is upgradable and certainly very good for the price.

Wow! That is a bargain for $599.

I bought mine for about $1200 about a year and a half ago with the exact same specs at Fry's. I got an M14x R2 a few months later but in comparison to my M17x R3, the older 6870M GPU (as compared to the M14x's 650M) is actually slightly better when playing TF2. I'd say go for it! You can always upgrade the GPU later if you need more GPU power.

If you can buy one new for that price I'd go for it. If you aren't happy with it then make a quick resale on Amazon for $900-1000. I would buy them but the Fry's near me doesn't even carry them regularly so I wasn't surprised that it lists them unavailable.
