This is a noob question but as i have never used an external display before, i wanted to ask those of you "in the know" about it - before i go and install something that i dont need to use.

The monitor in question is a Samsung BX2450 24" LED Monitor here - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003THMM...de=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B003THMM98

Now, it comes with a CDR with some drivers on it but do i need them? - obviously the 5870's have support for external displays so should i just connect it up via HDMI - HDMI and leave the Samsung drivers?

I kinda thought it would be "plug n play" but just wanna be sure.

    Thanks guys.

Let Windows detect and use it. If the LCD doesn't show up then use the drivers. I have a Viewsonic LCD like this as well.
