Well, this may sound dumb, but since I am not the mechanic expert I'll ask anyways.
    I've got Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8700 @ 2.53GHz which means I have 2 of them right?
When I open the Start -> Right-Clicking Computer -> Properties it shows 4,00GB RAM, but I am suppose to have 8GB?

    Have a nice day.
    Regards, Mrxxz0

A CPU is not the same as RAM. And no, you only have ONE cpu. ONE cpu with two cores though.

Open your computer and see what RAM is installed. Also are you running a 32bit OS?

You guys are asking way too many difficult questions. If he doesn't know what a CPU or what RAM is, he won't know anything about opening the computer and/or seeing what OS he has.

Mrxxzo, when you purchased the computer were you told you were supposed to have 8GB of RAM or was it 4GB?

    Nice dos equis refrence.

I imagine he is running 4gigs of ram.

As others stated, check your orginal order to see what came with the laptop. But if your in the control panal, under system, and it shows 4 gigs of ram, and not 3.5 etc, then your running 4 gigs of ram.

So you're order form says 8gb of ram. Type "dxdiag" in the search bar at the bottom of the windows start menu. Click "yes" if a message pops up.

Under system information, you should see a line item called "Memory." Does it say "4096MB RAM" next to "Memory:" If no, then what does it say? If yes, then you got ripped off - if your order form shows you paid for 8Gb
