Hey everyone, got a question about my m17x (r1). Lately (last 3 or 4 times) I went to shutdown or restart my computer, it gets stuck on the "shutting down..." screen and will stay there for hours. I'll hold the power button and turn it off and the next time I turn it back on there isn't any problem or screen about how windows shut down unexpectedly. But is it a problem that I have to turn it off that way? Anyone know of a fix? Any help is appreciated thanks!

This happened to me many times with Windows, including Vista and 7. I don't know the exact cause but I do know that they are due to changes I've made to Windows by installing/removing applications. My fix is to usually re-install the OS. Sorry I don't have a good answer for you.

:( Thanks for the response. Hopefully using the power button wont ruin anything...
