Uhh Ebay, Dell? Most surefire way to get stuff. The Marketplace here is also useful when people part out entire laptops.

Dell was the first place I called looking for the part I need and they were unable to supply it, which is weird i thought. Yeah I know ebay of cause but I remember stumbling onto a site a while back that hard full part breakdowns and good prices, hopeing to find simular again :)

I might be in the market for a CPU -- does anybody know of anywhere other than ebay that sells the 2860QM? Also, as it's a very new CPU, is it worth waiting for a year for the price to drop? (I'm getting the laptop through work, but it comes with a 2670QM as that's the only way I could get it under budget with a 580M in there and I figured the CPU would be the easier part to purchase if I wanted to upgrade).

Have a look at Google Shopping?

eBay is the cheapest and best place. Got my brand new 2860QM OEM chip for £380 from Taiwan in approx 4 days thanks to free FedEx, did a bit of negotiation and got a bargain imo. However the chip costs like £10 more on the Dell site !

ES/QS chips will cost a lot cheaper, and if you opt for the older 2820QM even more cheaper.

Google shopping -- finds it on various sites, but they are all out of stock.

From ebay, was that "PC-Best-Buy-1"? (I can't see anyone else selling them). I was a bit sceptical about ordering from Taiwan, wasn't sure anything would actually turn up.

If your still looking for sites try ztronics.com. they have alienware specific parts from the old sentias to the m11x. The site does not say it but if ypu call they also have parts for the m15x and m17x.
