    Hey

After a windows 7 re-install, the blu-ray drive takes about 3-5 mins to load the dvd. If I click on the touch botton to try to get the dvd out, the screen freezes for 15 seconds, and nothing happens. Very annoying when installing games with many dvd's.

I also noticed in the device manager that there are 4 things listed there that didn't get detected or something no drivers found, how do I fix this?

    Thanks!

Eek! Go to device manager, right click on it and uninstall it. Run CC Cleaner, then restart your comp. See if that fixes your problem.

I tried that and still takes a long time to boot the cd/dvd. Weird how it happened around the time I installed windows 7 again. I am having some bad connection on the control power botton panel, as I have to use tape to get the cable from the motherboard to it, could this be the issue?

I guess it could be broken too, oh well :/

I don't have any issues with my Blu-ray drive. If it was fine before your re-install of Win 7, my suggestion would be to do a clean re-install and see if the problem persists... I know its a hassle to re-install but you really have no alternative from what it looks like...

I did the re-install and same problem, even has problems before I start windows. I have opened the laptop up a lot to acces the graphics cards. Maybe the cable to the Blu-ray drive has bad connection or something. I put a dvd in, then I hear it working, and after 5 mins it finally starts, veeeeeery annoying. Hopefully a new drive isn't too expensive :/

New drive is about $50 on ebay. If you are under warranty, call Dell

take a screenshot of the missing items... if possible, list the DEVID for each.

you have verified that Hybrid Graphics and Integrated Graphics are both enabled in the BIOS? Be sure both are enabled.

Reboot and run the installer again for PhysX.

Yep both are enabled, still won't install.
Maybe I have the newest version or something, cause I installed it with a game earlier.

I still have the slow blu-ray drive, but when I was installing Starcraft 2 today I get a black screen with red dots and stripes, then the laptop turns off and all I see is a black screen and the CAPS blinking and I have to turn it off, and when I turn it on again it starts. I opened the laptop up to check the blu-ray drive, just wanted to take the cable in and out, and it took a long time before I got the laptop to turn on again after I put it all together. When I had everything back in place and pressed the power botton all I could hear was a faint "click from the laptop every time I clicked it. So I opened it again, and after re-seating every cable I was able to get the machine going, but now the screen was just black, so I re-seated, I think it is the monitor cable like 10 times before the screen finally came back on. Now the screen works, but I get red dots on the screen and it turns itself off, happens randomly what can this be? :/

I googled and someone said red stripes and black screen is RAM failure, but I already changed to new RAM.
