I bought my M17x R4 about a month ago with Intel Core i7-3610QM, 8 GB kingston plug n play ram, 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M, and a kingston hyper x ssd. I am not a heavy gamer but I do like my games to run smoothly. I was able to run Left4Dead 2 maxed the first week I had the laptop but now I cannot run it maxed without lag. According to notebookcheck.net, my graphics card should be able to run many high end games at stable framerates. I am confused what the problem is. I have steam installed on my HDD and steam games on my SSD. I also run windows on high performance. Any help/ideas?

Try whitelisting the games and see if that helps. If you need help with that follow the guide in my sig. :)

I haven't really been keeping up with nvidia drivers lately as I have an AMD card now, but this driver looks like it would work. :)
