Hey ! I´m having very slow boot times on my AW M17X R3. Sometimes up to 1 minute. This is with a Intel 510 120GB SSD as boot drive. Sometimes the windows 7 welcome screen stays for 10+ seconds, sometimes you don´t even see it. I´m sure it runs in Sata3.0. Is it because i have my desktop, movies, downloaded files, pictures folders moved to the 320GB HDD ? I know i should get better boot times than 1 minute with a SSD as boot drive.

Which HD port did you put the SSD into?

SSD's seem to work best if put into port 1. For some reason, they are slipping into SATA 2.0 if they are in port 0.

Also, did you check to make sure you are set to AHCI in the bios?
