    Hi all

I updated my BIOS to A11 from A05 - I was having issues with the CPU fans coming on even when the laptop was idle. Thanks to the BIOS update, that has now been rectified which is great.

However, when I updated, the Wifi and ethernet drivers weren't detected, so I had to uninstall and reinstall both which got my internet back.

Now I have what seems a strange issue. My internet can be very slow, with some pages not loading or taking a long time to load (eBay being notable). Another thing is that I can't open a link from my gmail, so say there's a link to an eBay listing, if I click it doesn't load and just gives me a 'server not found' error. In IE, FF and Chrome it's the same and it's absolutely maddening as, like many, I work from home and this is seriously slowing down my ability to work which won't enlighten my bosses. I'm currently using an old XPS I have in the hope someone might be able to help. The other thing to note, is that when doing a broadband speed check, the speeds are the same as they were before but there's obviously something not right that most pages are taking so long to load, if they do at all. My settings in Device Manager for the Broadcomm 4352 chip is the same as was before so nothing different there, thus the reason I'm trying to establish what is causing this.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance as this really is a nuisance.

It was only the BIOS I updated. Haven't done any other software/hardware updates or changes. Even since updating the BIOS all 3 of my browsers are so slow. Still trying to figure it out as nothing has changed since I updated the BIOS but it lags so badly
