    Smart Test Cannot run

    I just did this PC Check test that comes with alienware evertything passed but two items:

    1) Smart Short self Test

    2) Smart status Test

    Can someone tell me what could be the problem, I hope this isn't the sign of a defective drive...

    the hard drive is TOSHIBA MQ01ABD100 1TB

    I don't think it is a defective hard drive, it's most likely a problem with the test itself. However, you can run PSA diagnostics to check if the HDD shows any trouble.
