Would/Should the 580m work on the A04 mod bios or will I have to get a later bios like the A07/A08?

Currently using the insydeflash one that has all the options unlocked, which allowed me to disable optimus and set primary display to the gpu.

I do believe he's asking if the 580m specifically works on a A04 bios or not, not if 3D works on A04. And I'm going to lean towards no, but you never know.

3D on 580M will not work on A04...We need to figure out what certificates to add to the damn BIOSES =(

Yes, it's not for 3D. just the standard 60hz fhd screen.

maybe a little bit offtopic but...its my understanding that by disabling optimus via bios you just force the nvidia gpu to render everything.

but your notebook display is still connected to the system-mainboard and all signals coming from your nvidia-gpu are going through the IGP from where they are beeing send to the display.

I know, but optimus is still disabled, meaning I can play all games running off the nvidia gpu, instead of going through the intel igp first, then nvidia.

Before I did this, I was playing most of my games in the 30-50 fps range. Now they're all 40-100 fps. The lowest fps being The Witcher 2 on high settings on max resolution(1920x1080)
