Anyone else preloading? I haven't bought this for PC yet but am anxious to see what it's like on PC (with a MOUSE and KEYBOARD) with multiplayer.

I don't like the community. I got screamed at in a game

I think calling it a community is a stretch. I've been called every racial slur in the book, and anything else you can think up. And I'm a white guy. I had a lot of fun with the game, but muting the sound and forgetting how to read the console messages is a must.

I purchased Black Ops the day it was released, and since then things have gotten so busy with working two jobs, and planning a wedding, moving and putting in time for the military reserves, I've played Black Ops a total of 1 hour, and that was unplayable frame rates on the M11x when it first launched, prior to the first patch. Though I hope that tommorrow if I can get more unpacked, and get my sound system setup, I can begin playing it again. Sorry just venting on the balck ops issue because I've had a few beers.

I usually mute everyone anyway. -
Can you use a 360 controller with Black Ops?
-
I wouldn't on PC, you are giving yourself a major handicap.
On 360 I have had NO issues playing with people. PC gamers trip the hell out. -

You guys remember at the end of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back where they personally go to all those peoples' houses and kick the crap out of them because of stuff they said about them on the web? That is what I sometimes wish I could do when gaming online. When you're online folks can say anything they want because there are no repercussions.

Well, what can i say. I bought Black Ops for my M17x because i enjoyed it for the 360, BUT multiplayer just WONT work!!!! I just constantly says "fetching Stats" before finally giving up and telling me it couldnt connect check COD.com/blackops/status.
So frustrating, ive scoured the net all night for a solution. I tried fowarding ports, creating static iPS, using DMZ ip, uninstalling and re-installing. NOTHING works. and the worsed thing, there is no Activision support!!! not on the phone anyway.
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
But rarely does anyone light a fire under me enough to warrant a trash talking. Almost always little boys who think that being masculine is telling me how fat my mom is and how she looks in their prepubescent selfs bed.
End rant... ;-) -
....I immediately noticed longer life and way more kills no matter what room, no matter the skill level of the people I was up against. Getting 3 kills on Xbox/PS3 before dying is a miracle for me....on the PC, I get a minimum of 3-4 kills BEFORE dying. God bless PC gaming. Looking forward to putting in more time tonite and ranking up!!!

lol i dont suffer from there sorts of problems in bc2 the "community" is way way better. Well atleast for me it is, most of my friends on bc2 are above 17 years old and alot more mature and we all end up having fun playing online.
But usually when i wanna play BLOPS on pc i do it with my local friends on because there is just so much of things that were mentioned above, espicially racism cant handle it
bc2 doesn't suffer that much mayb cauz i play with people from europe so its more idk friendly? -
I loved BF2, looking forward to BF3
Also liked the BF1942 with the DC Mod -
I had draw distance all of the way up as well. -

You've got a good point there. Everything is leaning toward the kiddies these days. They've just got so much buying power now.

^^^ Very true, just wish I could somehow administer liquid soap to their mouths some times through their mics or something lol.

Honestly, I haven't noticed it at all. I only remember one time a guy even had a microphone in, and he was just spewing stuff like "behind you [player]". All my games have been completely silent. Then again, I've only been playing this weekend as result of the free weekend, so my experience is limited.

We were talking more about console gaming since most children dont have access to a rig with enough juice to handle multiplayer games on the PC.
So Black Ops Multiplayer will be free this weekend on Steam
