    So if I need to buy a new screen for my m17x R3, where can I go ?

    Make sure the actual screen is dead, Not the cable to the screen, (unless ofcourse you physicly damaged the screen) Sometimes the cables that go to the screen can become too worn out with time and a strand inside breaks, BAM 8 beeps.

    Depends on what you mean for screen. Alienware top panels generally are a major pain in the butt to disassemble. And I recall to replace the R3 screen...you need to destroy some portion inside the assembly. Alot of the times it is easier to replace the entire LCD assembly, but it does cost more money.

    I would recommend the same, try getting the assembly. You can get that on eBay.com, parts-people.com or some other retailers online. If you send me your service tag on a private message I could tell you exactly which part number you should look for.
