Im upgrading my video cards and have been doing some experiments: SLI Bridge connected, not connected, force rendering, preferred settings, and how games perform with one card.

I really dont see much difference with force rendering or the SLI bridge connected or not.

With just one card I did avg about 20FPS less on the HAWX 2 demo, but in games like Star Wars and the Fall Out 3 NV which specifically have SLI codes built in there wasnt that much difference.

Should I just dedicate the other card to PHYSX?

What cards are these? Some cards work better than others in SLI.
