i have this problem that pops up once in a while. when i open a page that uses flash player the screen goes flat color usually gray or orange (if it matters at all), and the sound stuck in a loop (if there was something playing before the glitch).
i cant figure it out if its the driver or the video card that is faulting.
i think the problem is somehow connected to the video aria because as i said it happens only when i use a page with a flash animation or youtube.
    specs:
    m17x
    gtx 260m
    driver Forceware 280.26
    win 7 64

need help with figuring it out so i can do something about it before its to late.

for about a month now, tried a few things (installing older driver, win altogether and such), and for the new driver.
but driver apart, i think it'll be good to know the reason for this.
ill try installing it but im a bit worried that it might be signs that something wrong with the card.

if its only happening with flash, then its either flash or vid card driver related

Both will get resolved with reinstalls. IF you are getting issues in all aspects including games, then i'd be more inclined to worry more. But right now, its just a flash issue

It depends on how you look at it:
PCIe Gen 2 on: BSODs, random colorful screens and lockups as drivers will try to push bandwidth to 16X, only solution is to stick with the ancient Dell P06 beta video driver.

PCIe Gen 2 off: bandwidth limited @8X, loss of few points in benchmarks but stable system = unnoticeable performance loss in real life (if any at all).

But don't worry these systems run @8X anyway, that includes AMD cards too.
