I did a clean install of win7 today and all drivers .

ATI 10.6 CCC and drivers from ati site.
Win 7 x64 Ulti from the dvd.

Everything runs smooth Browsing / Movies / Texting etc.

When i start any game what happens is everything hangs and i get a black display and im forced to hit the power button n reboot.

It was workin well when it arrived with the drivers from dell but now even if i revert back to the old drivers im facing the same problem.

What could be causing this ? Any assistance is appreciated .

    Thank you

    Specs :- i7 Q820, 6g ram n 5870 xFire.

The vast majority of Aienware M17x R2 owners found that they could not get 10.6 ccc. to work with 5870 CF. There are multiple threads if you go back a few pages. 10.7 may be out on July 21.
