    Some keys not working with M17XR4 motherboard

    Hi all,

    Is there any way to find and fix the problem?

    I put in a M17R4 motherboard into my M17XR3 case and it seems a couple of keys are not working.

    Keys not working:
    8, I, K, "," keys and the "*" key on the number pad

    I know the keyboard was working before the change with the M17XR3. I am trying to get the mobo replaced but is there anyway to find out why those keys do not work and/or fix the problem?

    I would reseat the keyboard connection. The slightest lack of contact causes the weirdest of problems.

    Seems like a connection issue. Clean any obstructions or dust and retry.

    I was using a m17x r2 keyboard on my m17x r4 no issues at all.

    M17x R2/R3/R4 and M18x R1/R2 keyboards are all interchangeable.
