Just went to go use my speakers on the R3, I've been using the fiber optic out for the last few days, switched back to Speakers/Headphones in the audio control panel and...nothing, as soon as I plug in the headphones I get audio though so I am thinking possibly the port is being bridged or something, I have seen weird stuff like this before. Any ideas before I actually have to call in already =/

Heh, exact same issue here: http://en.community.dell.com/owners-club/alienware/f/3746/t/19363779.aspx

EDIT: Yep, EXACT same issue, I plugged 3.5mm into the spdif jack on accident, haven't use the speakers until now. However, in the IDT control panel you can do a "work around" and manually switch between optical and speakers by clicking the far right icon that is circled.

This is kinda ridiculous, they shouldn't have created it like that to push it further together or even allow a standard 3.5mm jack in there.

Ohhhh, I just wiggled the cable up and down and left and right and it jogged it loose! It works properly again and recognizes it.
