    Hi there folks,

I have a 3 week old Alienware M17x R4. I dont know if I didnt notice it before or it has just started but I observe during startup a thin white horizontal line appears at the bottom of the blank screen for a split second before it loads the Raid configuration display which is followed up by Alienhead etc.

I dont get this at any other time. Should I worry about it or it happens to all those who have R4.

My rig comes with 3D Lightboost Display + Nvidia 675m

I am using the latest beta display driver.

    Anyone?

I believe this is normal as the screen turns on and proceeds from BIOS to Windows.

    Thanks,
    Gabe

It could just be a loading bar of sorts. An older computer I had took some time to POST and there was a visual white bar at the bottom which showed the progress.

If other problems start to arise then you may need to worry about it but I would say that it is probably no big deal.

This issue is resolved after flashing the latest bios A05. Confirmed. No horizontal line appears during startup.
