    Standard VGA adapter?

    I cant identify my GPU. in the device manager it just say standard vga adapter. and every driver i have tried from the alienware drivers page. is there another way to identify the GPU?

    Gpu-z. Entering your service tag on the Dell site should give you a list of all your components. Or take it out and look for markings on the card?

    Now that I think of it, aren't there supposed to be 2 display adapters showing in the device manager? One for the integrated and one for the dedicated? In my R3 they showed up (without the drivers installed) as Standard VGA and Standard VGA (6990m) if I recall correctly. So maybe you need the Intel HD driver?
    Was/Is your dedicated working??

    Which config do you have? Might be easier to troubleshoot.
