    Hi Adrianrp

Back to the error code 43. Have been researching this issue on many sites. According to the Dell Laison (Chris M)

"The softwares cannot identify it since it is not loaded correctly by the operating system. Power off, open the case cover, reseat the video card, power on. If the video card drivers do not load correctly, I would say the card is bad."

With older systems there were issues with GPU and CPU compatibility with CF but that is simply not the case with your NEW system. Also issues with mismatched GPU but again should not be a problem on a factory built system. Maybe some damage was done in transit or a loose harness?

I'd try a reinstall of the games and steam. As well as a reinstall of the drivers. I just got my m17x on the 8th and mine is working fine, except for the funky alienfx, but they're replacing the motherboard on tuesday. I'm using 5870s in xfire as well.

    Hi all,

Issue has been resolved - thanks to all that contributed to the thread.

Owe you all some feedback, delay was because my son found a workaround by disabling crossfire and not letting it sleep so he could play with his new present. :D He was happy, so I let him use it like that.

Today we sat down and sorted out the problem. A few points about why it was a confusing:

Uninstalling ATI from control panel (express uninstall) then reinstalling the stock dell drivers did not fix it. But, I was surprised that rebooting after the uninstall was still in 1900x1200, not what I expected.

So... we ran the express uninstall then driversweeper, reboot was in 800x600 as I expected!
After installing the dell Rnnnnn package we had BSOD for atipmdag.sys
Then reboot was back in 800x600, and both cards were disabled (windows reported problem error)
We updated the drivers in device manager, enabled the cards .... then BINGO we were in business

Steam (and non-Steam) games run with crossfire enabled and it resumes from sleep ok

I have to say that the process with the BSOD, manually updating drivers and disabled cards was a PITA but at least we got there

    Thanks again to everyone
