    Still losing the sound card on my M17x R4

    Just wondering if anyone else has run into this despite updating to bios A05. It seems like every other day when I boot up my machine my sound card is missing. The only way I can get it back is to reflash the bios. Should I call in to get this fixed??

    Will do. Yeah really odd. My other M17x R4 with the 7970 did not have any of these problems.

    Called them and the tech insisted I needed to re-install my OS. I was about to say "F--- you" but I just camly told him that this is not a software issue but a hardware issue. The problem is that I rebooted numerous times while on the phone with him and its there now after I fixed it this morning. I guess I should just let it stop working and then call them again.

    Next time something like this happens just tell them - yes I have already reinstalled the OS without success yesterday.
