I have a new R4 with 12GB stock, want to throw an extra 16 in there for vm use. Before I rip the beast apart, does anyone know how the 12 is distributed? are all 4 slots right now in use?

does dell do 2x4gb in one and 2x2gb in the other slot?

is there an easy way to tell without opening it up

HW info should tell you whats in which slot. W8 task manager will tell you as well.
