So recently I've been interested in streaming games I play, like WoW, for example, for the benefit of others that might have to sit a raid or something... Anyways, I've noticed that whenever I attempt to stream, or even Fraps for that matter my framerate takes a gigantic hit. Now I know that streaming and capturing is well strenuous on the computer, but I have an R2 that isn't even a year old, and while I didn't max out EVERYTHING, it's still a very beastly machine. I just don't understand why I can play wow at 80+ FPS with great/ultra settings, but the second I try to stream it live i get like 1 frame per 3 seconds. What gives?

Save video in external HDD and put fraps at 90FPS and half resolution,
