Hey everyone! I just purchased a new M17XR4 with the 7970M and I am having trouble getting the damn discrete card to work. I have updated all the drivers (currently running 8.973) and the card is showing up in the device manager. I tried hitting FN+F7 and nothing appears to happen. I installed Skyrim and it is only detecting the onboard Intel. I set the game to "high performance" in the AMD application and restarted the computer to no avail. I then tried going into BIOS to disable the onboard card and there is not even a graphic card option under advanced! What am I doing wrong here?

It might be because you installed newer drivers, Have you tried rolling back drivers and then tried using the FN+F7 Combo? Might be worth a shot.
