I have a M17xR3 with a nvidia 560m and an intel HD 3000 integrated card. With SG turned on in the bios, my games suffer from reduced framerates even when I confirm the nvidia video card is powering the games.

If I turn SG to PEG which disables the intel HD 3000, the framerates are much higher but the laptop runs much hotter during idle and battery life is worse. I've updated both intel and nvidia drivers to their latest, and even have reformatted windows and still suffer the same issue. Am I the only one who experiences this issue or is there a way to fix it?

Yep, I've done this. I still get around half FPS in my games compared to when only the nvidia card is enabled - but higher than if the game is running on the integrated card.

And are you running with both cards on the DELL drivers? those work better with optimus.
