Anyone else found that pressing FN+F7 then clicking yes does nothing? I've just tried and it doesnt seem to switch to the intel one - even the configure switchable graphics link still shows "High Performance GPU" and clicking the button to switch there does nothing either!

This issue doesnt massively bother me - I'm unlikely to be using the Integrated GPU for much but i'd like to know if others have this problem!

its not well documented but it seems that if you have any app open that uses video (including IE) it wont switch. close your apps first and it works every time.

Could it be a symptom of having the 120Hz screen? I had heard that nVidia Optimus doesn't work for those screens. Anyone with the 3D screen that can comment?

Yes, having the 120hz screen prevents you from using optimus. I believe the OP has a 6970, which cannot be ordered with the 120hz, so that's not the problem.
