    Hi Guys.

Ive noticed something (yes, ANOTHER thing) that is bugging the heck outta me. This time, its concerning the infamous trackpad....again.

Dont know if its just me but I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. If I change the settings for the trackpad, for example, I like a fast mouse cursor.....I click on the trackpad icon,go to device properties/pointer options and use the slider to make the mouse a little faster.

I click apply and then ok to close.

All is great, mouse moves around to my liking. However, when i shutdown or restart, all of the settings are reverted back to normal!!!

I have tried uninstalling the Synaptics driver and reinstalling, I have also tried the latest Driver directly from Synaptics and none of this has cured it.

I also use a TactX External mouse/keyboard....I prefer to have the trackpad enabled too at the same time as its the only way, afaik, to have it remain "lit up"....thinking logically here, the TactX stuff *shouldnt* mess with the trackpad 'cos its all Alienware stuff, right? (I know the drivers will be logitech)

Anyone have any suggestions as to a cure or anyone else experienced the same kinda thing?

    Any thoughts welcomed.

I experienced the same problem with the mouse speed. I found an easy fix :)
go to the start menu and find "run", type in msconfig, then a little window should appear. go to the "start" tab and scroll down until you find logitech setpoint, disable it, and save and quit.
    Hope it helps :D

OK....disabled Logitech SetPoint and its worked a treat. Restarted and my mouse cursor speed doesnt default back to default settings....remains fast as I like it!

Thanks very much for the help....much appreciated.

    +rep for the friendly advice.

    Cheers
    Stevie. :)
