I just changed the bios to the a04 modded bios to disable the intel gpu.
I could use a few ways to test the stability. Any recommendations?

Prime95 is the defacto standard for stress testing PCs for stability.
GIMPS Home
Another option is OCCT (Overclock Checking Tool), has a number of options to check. Read up on it.

EDIT:
One more, Furmark, graphics stress testing

25 min on furmark on default settings. Guess it's working
Thanks Beradon. -
Do some 3D mark runs aswell and compare your score in the benchmark thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...alienware-m17x-benchmark-thread-part-4-a.html . This is to check if your computer is performing as it should.

Eh...i'm not prepared to be slaughtered by the 6970's already on the benchmark thread D:

Another way to test the performance it to play a game that you have played before and see if the FPS has changed. After flashing to a custom bios, a performance test is almost as important as a stability test.

Yep, Crysis 2 is working pretty well. I can run the dx9 version on 30ish fps on "Hardcore" settings.
Testing stability?
