Hello everyone. In most of the games for example Crysis, NBA2k11 and Dead rising 2, i notice horizontal lines on the game menu including in game, and it is most prominent on bright colors like Red or Green. I dont see any artifacts.
If i disable catalyst AI then the problem goes away. What is the purpose of Catalyst AI? What should it normally be on? and does any one have a solution to this problem? I have all latest drivers and updates installed.

Catalyst AI enables you to use crossfire, so without it on, you are just running single card.

I think shimmering is an incorrect term to use because i dont know what that actually means. But i do get horizontal lines on brighter color shades on the screen.

    Thats most likely screen tearing.

You can try to force enable Vsync in the CCC or in game options. Enable triple buffering.

    Cheers. :)

    The chief is right.

But to be sure can you post a screen of what you see ? or show us an example ? A screen or a video ? (A lot of people experiencing this kind of problem put videos on youtube)

Maybe you will find the right example there and we will be able to help you further.

I will put up a screen shot. And i have to try enabling vsync also like Reborn said.. But i always keep it off for smoother frame rates.
