I just got it! It runnings so well! I order it for my ranger. I did the mod orgininal CPU fan mod using thr m14x cpu fan. This fan had the upwards flap to the hot is directed up-center behind the laptop it is a really a huge difference in noise via the flap flows it through the correct direction of thr heatsink fins.
I ordered my copper heatsinks from the same seller for my Ranger. I spent the extra money for faster shipping($28), in my case i live in the DMV area in the states. I ordered it nov 15th and it arrived at my door step on Nov 21st. So the shipping was totally worth it for me.
No modding requiree fot this fan. All mounts and etc are a perfect match!

Mastermind5200 Notebook Virtuoso
I believe that there is actually a better fan, the M6700 13CFM Fan. I'll see if It's close to Plug and Play in my Ranger and M18X later

I threw in the one from another thread.

I suspect the fan port may be 0.5A limited so could drop the fan in this thread to 5 CFMLast edited: Dec 3, 2018Papusan likes this. -
That seller has been making some appreciatible aftermarket cooling for the ranger over the year.
-
Which one? Or are they the same?
Appreciable in dollars earned or CFM? -
He also makes the modded heatsinks for users that upgrade to the 1060 / 1070 with 5 heatpipes.
With it, I kept the 780m @ 56c max load at full fan speed.VoodooBane and M18x-oldie like this. -
Wow that sounds great, my 780ms do about 70-75, that's about the normal range I think, with untouched fan speed.
I had also considered this one for my 1060 and xm but read smwhere here that not all were satisfied with the total dissipation of it. -
Well keep in mind this was at full fan speed with the 11.4CFM fan. Most people dont like loud fans but I use headphones so I dont hear it when I was using my Ranger.

Just for reference, what are the default fan's CFM rating's? Mine say 1.66 and 1.46 or something close to it, which can't possibly be true

I dont know why but i always figured it to be a 6 or something

If so, lucky me I have my M6700 with it'a masive 13CFM fans -
Mine state the same CFM levels
Wouldnt mind a 13CFM fan for the GPU side. However the fan does dip at the end so might not be ideal for a PnP scenario. However would make for a good compliment for an idea I have been having for a while now.
What is the model number of fan, happen to know?
EDIT: I really wish the fan on this part was flipped though. -

Im trying to buy 5 of them but he stacks the shipping fee for each one.
Will see if he will pack into one package. -
I remember i bought my both of my copper heatsinks from him for my 1070 and 4900qm. He has ghe shipping as one for the same order... it seams the guy changed it now. His shiping method for the $28 is total worth it. It freaking fast

My ranger is dead, so this is just buying a cheap part as a backup for later.
No rush needed.
Sent message inquiring to reducing the shipping rate.Last edited: Dec 3, 2018 -
