As I am sure you can remember the original "Alienware / Kawasaki " green was beautiful.

I dream every day of skullcap and that green to come back.

Beautiful job Speedy I may have to come down and see it.

What would be even more awesome if a huge logo could be painted on the lid, like a green lantern on black background, or the superman logo, or the batman logo; or the Hulk's face...

Wow havn't seen this thread in a while, but it still is just as amazing as the first time I saw it. Makes me want to purchase a few parts. Also makes me wish I was better with my airbrush. A white M17x with a logo airbrushed would look amaaaazing!

Logo idea....what about the Punisher white skull. That would be awesome.

Another idea would be a purple Decepticon logo.

I guess my 80's childhood is showing... :D

^^ Thanks, the punisher white skull i like it but that would not be that impressing since i'll kinda have to turn it black [only].
think i'll have to open a thread and ask around :p

I think I'm going to do something similar to this. I found some good prices on spare M17x bases and lids and the only color that really looks good with this machine design is red (already seen) and white. Was thinking about Daytona orange or a dark blue, but since I plan to spray the rubber/velvet coat on it, it might take away from the luster of those colors.

Daytona orange should do the trick, Lamborghini orange is the one I'd go for if I had the skills to do it, but I don't.
Anyway nice job TS, your M17x looks ace.

If the Palm rest, the hinge cover and the area around the LCD Panel is painted white , Apple will sue you. :D
