The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Those of you who have either the R3 with 1080 WLED 60Hz or 120Hz please post the difference in display quality. Thanks.

Please post the visual differences that may be apparent between the 2 types of HD WLED Panels.

I've had both but not at the same time. They appear to be about the same in brightness to me. On the envy 17, hp used a brighter display on the 3d but not with the M17xR3. The M17xR3 is not as bright as the Envy 17 3d.

Are the viewing angles the same?

Yes. A far as I can remember and see, they look about the same. It's the glossy screen that hurts the viewing angle the most.
