Just thought I would upload a video to show everyone how my Alienware 17 plays the highly anticipated Titanfall beta. It plays almost perfectly apart from when you get in intense Titan battles it tends to have a bit of a spike in frame lag and screen tear. Im guessing these issues will be sorted in the final game/nvidia drivers.

Here is the video anyways, it was played on max settings, and looks like a pretty decent game, not as outstanding as I was expecting, but still happy that the lil AW is keeping up. Super excited to see how TES:Online plays :D

    FIXED

I on the other hand have horrible performance on the BETA. I have a 680M and i cant even see things properly. For eg when the training starts it says look at the two lights. That whole screen is black.

What driver version are you using ?

EDIT : i figured out my problem, it was not running the NVIDIA GPU. I had to set it on the control panel to use the NVIDIA GPU.

Yeah man, was gonna say to do that. I had the same problem, had really weird screen glitches then I realized that the game was starting using the Intel integrated graphics.

    Glad you got it sorted!

Lol maybe i just want to much FPS, but cranking everything up with a 780m yields a very laggy play. Enabling vsync also really slows things down, which that's the coding of the game thats not good. I'm currently installing the new drivers that were released today to see if that makes any performance increases.

Really? That was played on a 770m and there was only lag while recording using Mirillis Action.

In that video I was on driver version 334.67 BETA. Have updated to the latest driver version and it seems pretty much the same for Titanfall.

Been playing Insurgency all day, epic game! Looks very nice also when everything it turned up as high as it can go.

Overall im very impressed with the AW17 and 770m, thought I would regret not waiting the extra month and going for the 780, but so far its been great. Its gonna depend on how TES:Online plays out for me!

I think i'm used to a locked 60fps with vsync on because of my main computer, so i get really picky if anything is below that anymore lol. The new drivers seemed to help out but only running 4aa, high textures, mostly high other except shadows and lighting. I'm almost beginning to think that it might be network lag, because i'm often getting "trying to reconnect". Either way, haven't had that much fun in a FPS in a LONG time. Can't wait for released as it will be way more polished.

I'm running on my M17x GTX675m i7. I get bad screen tear if I play full screen mode, is this normal?

I dont think so, can you confirm this is running on the GPU and not the intel card. ??

I can confirm this yes. It happens me with 90% of games. Most recently even Batman: Arkham Origins would not run in full screen without horrible screen tear. Any game I run in windowed or borderless windowed mode seems ok.

If the mods would rather I make a separate thread for this I can.
