    Hello all :)

Just wanted to know if anybody plays torchlight and if they had issues with it on their R1 with nvidia discrete gpus?

I'm playing through steam and the game is crashing the system randomly. Tried reinstalling, checked file integrity, tried to format system. Problem still there. The most annoying part being that there is no real save system... I have to quit to the main menu just to make sure the game saves my progress lol

So far I've had 5 complete system freeze and one BSOD that involved nvlddkm.sys. At least when it BSODs the game saves... hard reboot, not so much. Of course with my strategy of quitting to main menu and quitting the game every 30 minutes, the stats are getting better! lol

Currently using 260.99 drivers. Was thinking of trying Batboys modded drivers just to test stability, I know loads of users have had troubles with the verde drivers, I was free of them 'til now but maybe my time has come, I don't know!

Feel free to share any useful info people ;)

    Hey,
    I used to have a M17x R1 with sli gtx260m.
I played Torchlight in the first levels (so probably spent 3-4 hours on the game).
I don't remember any freeze or issues with the game.
So I was using very old driver compared to today (I think the one which came with the PC).
So I don't have many infos except it seemed to work for me.
    Hope it helps a little.

    Are you playing with Vista?
I remember that vista has numerous problem with nvldkkm... Can you try with win7? If I was you I would give a try...

I'm using Vista x64 SP2, so far Torchlight is the only game that makes the system freeze completely. Usually if the system BSODs its because I tried an over the top overclock lol not nvlddkm.sys I don't have any copy of Seven to use so no, I can't.

I think I will try older drivers, even though I really don't want to... it will also give me a chance to verify that Borderlands doesn't make the cpu throttle with them.

    Thx for the feedback :)

OK I have tried Batboy's modded drivers, and no crash since... I guess the game doesn't like recent drivers.
