I have the mouse touch pad set to dissable when external mouse is detected. When I unplug the mouse the touch pad does not come back on. Also If no mouse is connected and I select the option to dissable the pad it shuts off. Its like its seeing a mouse that is not there.
Any help on this issue would be great
Thanks

I have this same issue...
just use your keyboard to navigate to mouse setting in control panel...
hint* Use the spacebar to clear the check box... -
No other mice in device manager?
-
1 synaptics touch pad
1 microsoft usb
I tried to delete the first 3 but when I scan for devices they come right back. -
anyone have a clue on how to fix this issue?
-
sorry mate, don't know what to tell you.. are you sure you don't have anything connected ?
-
Maybe this will help. I dissabled the three HID Compliant mice in device manager and it works fine. Why would they be showing up when no mouse is connected?
Is there a way to view and delete old drivers in windows that are not showing? I remember there used to be a way to view all devices installed even if the hardware was removed. -
all i know is that you can remove the driver from windows.
when you delete the device you get a message box with a V to delete the driver..
that's waht you want to do, btw, can you post the device id of this HID mouse that keeps appearing ? -
the location of the HID that is causing the problem is "on Logitech Virtual Hid Device" Whatever that is. for some reason it is detecting this

Might be something to do with the Logitech Rumble Pad 2 I have.
-
Might be it, try removing it?
-
Also try the Fn combo to manually turn it on.
I don't have an M17x, but it's Fn + F12 on my M15x. -

ok thanks it works I had to uncheck the box in properties.
Thanks Guys
