    Greetings, all.

Received my AW17 in November. Switched from a MacBook Pro and I have embraced all the nuances of Windows 8.1 except for one and it's driving me crazy.

The trackpad sucks. Sucks in a huge, total and horrible way.

It constantly thinks I am selecting text instead of scrolling. The driver is up-to-date, the settings are correct (AFAIK).

It just seems like it is a order of magnitude suckier than the glass trackpad of the Mac.

It is the single feature that is encouraging me to switch back to Mac.

While I would miss 100fps in Bioshock, not screaming at the laptop 10x's per day would be worth the trade.

    Any suggestions?

Use a mouse instead of a trackpad?

I think you will find most people here don't use the trackpad much.

Have you tried adjusting the scrolling area? Using an external gaming mouse could help you a lot.

go to synaptics touchpad settings... disable "one-finger scrolling" and enable "two-finger scrolling"... tada!

Thanks, I had already disable one finger scrolling before making my OP.
