Triple Monitor Setup

Okay here's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to setup and use two external monitors in addition to my built in display. My system specs are in my sig. I'm currently using a Samsung SyncMaster T260 via HDMI and my second external is a Dell P2210T via VGA. But for some reason I can't get my laptop to drive all three screens. I can get it to use both externals and turn off the internal or the internal and one of the external but not all three. I think I saw something on google about not being able to do it since vga is analog, basically saying I have to use the display port on the monitor. Then it would work. But before I sink money into buy the cable and having it shipped to me overseas I'd like either conformation or maybe a different solution. Thank you.

 

ive seen the r2 run in eyefinity however not a 100% sure if displayport instead of hdmi will let u keep your laptop screen working.

I actualy have a active displayport to dvi adaptor but i need to get a adaptor to make it fit in the mini displayport on my r3.

ordering that tomorrow or later on tonight and see about eyefinity on the r3.

Im pretty sure that if u use displayport u be able to keep your laptop screen with 2 other screens but i dont have the r2 so not sure how that one works out.

 

Yea, I'll prolly be buying a displayport cable. Does eyefinity only work with displays all using the same display resolution? Cause my dell monitor is only 1600x1050 or something like that.

 

eyefinity afaik only works with screens of the same res due to the fact its basicly turning all 3 into one screen for windows and making one big screen means one resolution. mine was close to 6000x1080.

so one screen not doing the same as the rest wont work then. maybe if all 3 can do the same res then it will prolly work.
