Been trying to pry off the indicator panel with a flathead screwdriver for the past hour or so, was gentle since I dont want to risk breaking / leaving a mark on the panel.
There are only two screws that need to be unscrewed before removing the panel right? (The ones at the bottom, near the system fan.)
Was watching the tear down video in Youtube and wow, he just pried it off so easily.

Do NOT continue with the prying!
That was what I did, and I broke the plastic clips of my panel. Use the vacuum trick I told you about in your previous thread.
The plastic clips are very easy to break, I repeat DO NOT CONTINUE!, or you might end up as me. If you break that panel, you will be having big trouble with Dell.
It is better to use compressed air, or the vacuum to get out the dust. -
Ugh. Damn. Some paint got chipped. Guess I'll just call the Dell tech and hope they don't screw up.
The last time they came to replace my HDD, the tech broke one of the screw+washer thing and made a sloppy mess. -

Ok Simplified. Noted. I'll get a can from a friend of mine asap and try blowing air into the vents. Will try that vacuum trick of yours too.
Also, does anyone know if there's a program to manually increase fan speed? Mine does 400-650 rpm at peak which from what I've heard, is ridiculously low. -
@ Simplified: =(

pmassey31545 Whats the mission sir?

This is how I get mine off.
There's a part on the media panel on each side where it forms around a 45 degree angle. If you take a small screwdriver and push towards the screen at that part where it stops, it has enough give so that you can remove that one side's clip. Once you get one side off, you just have to slowly work towards the side.
Trying to remove indicator panel. Help!
