Hey I just bought a M17XR4 with the 7970M and was wondering how I go about using two external monitors with it? I don't plan on using the built in LCD panel when using the two external monitors. My monitors only have dvi/vga inputs so I am hoping there is a way to make it work. Can I use the VGA out and get a display port to dvi adapter? I want to have an extended monitor setup with the two.

    Thanks

Yes that sounds fine. If it's just a 1080p monitor then a passive adapter will work for the display port.

Not a problem, if you do have any issues let us know, but mostly it's people wanting to run very high resolution or refresh rate monitors or more than 2 that need to be wary.
