A while ago I installed the 12.11 beta 3 drivers for the 7970M (over the dell stock drivers) and everything was working fine. Recently however I've been getting BSODs, mostly on startup, first infrequently now every time I boot. It mentions something about atikmpag.sys which I think is a part of the 7970 driver. What could be the issue? I really need to get this computer working...

Try the latest normal drivers (12.10) I think it is... can you boot into safe mode maybe?

Are you running Windows 8 or 7? I believe those drivers are for win8 only, I got the same bluescreen when I tried them on Windows 7.

Boot to safe mode and run a system restore, then install 12.10.

I was getting the same BSOD whenever I tried to adjust the clock speed in Afterburner. Eventually stopped trying since the performance gains from the 12.11 beta drivers are much better than what I was getting OCing the 7970M.

Update: it looks like the BSOD only happens when the system is in integrated mode: all the drivers (including 12.11 beta 6) work with only the 7970 activated. Must be some sort of conflict?

Edit: Currently on 12.10, everything seems fine so far...

Everybody on HD 6 series and below should use Catalyst 12.10 WHQL or below.

Catalyst 12.11 is for HD 7 series based on GCN architecture. So if you want to get max out of your card, go for 12.11, not 12.10.
