I use a USB headset and USB mouse. I use the two USB ports on the left side (not the eSATA combo). Sometimes, my sound will suddenly stop working, mostly happens when I'm on vent, but it happened outside of vent once or twice. When it happens, though, it comes back on after i switch the USB ports of my mouse and headset. Also, whenever I do that, vent crashes, but only if the sound had stopped. Sometimes, it goes the opposite way, with my mouse not working until the flip-flop, but that's a lot less common. Anyone have any ideas?

Question: do you have the same issues using the USB ports on the right side, or only on the left side?
Go into Device Manager, select Properties for each USB hub. Go to the Power Management tab for each and uncheck the option allowing the computer to turn off the device to save power. Reboot and see if these problems are solved. See screen shot below.
If this does not cure the problem, go into the BIOS (press F2 when you see the Alienhead logo during boot). Go to the page for Power. Disable USB wake support. Save the new settings upon exit (F10).
I hope this helps. Please let us know.Attached Files:

Thanks, I'll try it now! I'll post here if it fixed it, if it doesn't happen in a week or so, cause it's kinda intermittent.
