What exatcly is the power output for the PowerShare USB/eSATA charging port? Is it higher than the other ports? Basically, is it 1A or 2.1A? I just bought a Just Mobile Gum Max battery pack and wondered if I could charge it using this port instead of stealing my dads iPad 10w 2.1A wall power adapter. The Gum Max needs 2.1A.

Definitely more than 1A. I can run my optical drive (power and data) using the eSATAp port. And my ODD says it takes 1.6A.

I'd say 1-1.5A definitely isnt 2A as it will fail to charge an iPad.

Thanks guys... I actually tried to charge the Gum Max with it, and I did see progress, but I interrupted it half way through and used the iPad adapter instead in case I "hurt" the Gum.
