Are these drivers up on dell's driver website?
the reason I'm asking is that the two USB ports on the left side of my m17x doesn't seem to be working. They can power up my cooler, but if I use these ports for a mouse or for my ipod, they don't work. The two USB drives on the right side are working fine though..weird
    Any ideas?

If you look at your device list under USB ports, you should see a driver installed for every USB port for your computer. These drivers are generally built into windows and require no separate driver installation. You can try uninstalling the drivers for those ports and let windows find and reinstall the drivers for them again. Now I know that when itunes installs in windows it also installs the USB driver for its devices. That is common for the device manufacturers to provide the driver disc if needed. Also make a physical inspection of the ports, some people have report the plastic separator coming out of the USB ports on the left side. Other than doing that the only other thing I can think of is reloading windows and see if that fixes the problem.
