I bought a new Mobo off ebay to set up my daughter a ranger for xmas.. I didn't have all the drivers installed or thought I could have botched the install of chipset drivers, ran out of time and now I been troubleshooting for a few days. I'm stumped the front usb port on the left side, and the rear port on the right does not work.
I tried everything I can think of. (uninstall re-install all drivers) all bios settings ect.. nothing.
    Anyone have any ideas?
this is my third ranger rebuild with windows 10 too and never had this problem..
    Bad mobo maybe?
also no usb problems in the device manager

Probably just a bad mobo, return and replace.

You could try altering the power share option in the bios for the left USB issue but the right, all you can really do is make sure it's seated correctly (the daughter board).

Restart the laptop and insert a bootable (that Windows 10 image for example) usb drive to the ports, which are not working in Windows. On powering the laptop on, hit F12 until you are met with boot menu. It should display the name of the pen drive connected. Do the same with all the ports - you can just move the pen drive to the next usb port, hit ctrl+alt+del and f12. This will test the hardware independent of software. If the drive is detected in all the ports, you can then move to software diagnosis.

Tried this out with no luck, I think its just a bad board. will keep it around as a backup.
    Thanks everyone for the help.
