I have an m17x R2. The USB ports on the right are powered but will not allow anything to connect to Windows. I've tried thumb drives, mice, speakers, MP3 players and phones. My devices will charge just fine, they just won't sync or connect. There is no exclamation points in device manager. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling all usb ports / devices through device manager. Any suggestions?

Edit: Ive also tried uninstalling and re installing the drivers, and activating them through the bios. I've tried uninstalling the chipset drivers and reinstalling them, I've tried to re flash the bios.

Perhaps try it in a Linux boot environment and see if they function. If they don't work in Linux, you probably have bad USB ports?

It sounds like a motherboard (or daughter board) issue. Are either of you under warranty? I would contact @DellCares on twitter if so, and let them know what's going on.
